Dr. Glenn Wenger


Dr. Glenn Wenger graduated from Cocalico High School in Denver, Pennsylvania and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he also played football. He then graduated cum laude from Colgate University, earning a Master's Degree in teaching. After teaching high school biology and coaching football for five years, he entered Temple University Dental School, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.

While at Temple he was a member of several honor societies and was given the Omicron Upsilon Scholastic Fraternity Award. This award is given to the top ten percent of the graduating class who demonstrate distinguished scholastic achievement, exemplary traits of character and potential qualities of future professional growth.

In 1984 Dr. Wenger received the prestigious Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry, where he scored in the top two percent on the rigorous written exam. He has joined only seven percent of other dentists who are members of this honored group. For the past several years he has also been voted by his peers to be one of the top dentists in the Harrisburg area.

Dr. Wenger has completed a mini-residency in dental implantology and has taken extensive continuing education courses in cosmetic and advanced restorative dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry and is an alumnus of the Pankey Institute.

Dr. Wenger lives in Chester County with his wife of 43 years, four chickens and a cat. The Wengers have two sons. Dr. Wenger loves to travel and has backpacked to over 20 third world countries. He also likes to garden, bird watch, play racquetball and golf, play the banjo and tap dance.

Along with his son, Dr. Wenger is the owner of Steel City Coffee House in Phoenixville, a live music venue.
